ADOPT A SCHOOL

The Blessings in a Backpack program is growing throughout the State of Michigan but there are many communities that could benefit from having a program.  If you, your company or your organization would like to adopt a school or school district we would be happy to assist in pairing you with a school in your community or a neighboring community.  Contact us and we will be happy to have you become part of the Blessings in a Backpack community.

ADOPT A COMMUNITY

As a corporation or organization, you can adopt a school district and provide all the eligible children with a backpack of food containing six meals for the weekend. The amount to sponsor a school district is based on the number of eligible children at the rate $155 per child. We can match you with a school district which aligns with your desired contribution. Your Company logo will be placed on the Blessings in a Backpack-Michigan website on the selected community’s page under Community Partners.

To adopt a school district, we ask for a minimum of a three-year commitment from your organization.

Your Company can be more involved than just monetarily. If you would like to have employees from your corporation, come and assist with a packing, we can schedule a date which is agreeable to both parties. See first-hand how your gift is used and the difference you are making in your community. There is also the opportunity of serving as a Steering Committee Member. ADOPT A NUMBER OF BACKPACKS

If your Business prefers to adopt a number of backpacks to set the exact amount of the donation to a Blessings in a Backpack community, then this option is the right one for you. Decide how many backpacks you would like to sponsor at the rate of $155 each for the entire school year and we can make this happen. Based upon the number of backpacks sponsored, your Company name will be listed with all the company names who sponsor backpacks. If you sponsor 25 or more backpacks, then your logo will be placed on this community’s page under Community Partners.

ADOPT A BACKPACK

What can the cost of a single cup of coffee provide a child? For $3.81, a child can eat six meals over the weekend when he or she does not have food. Can you go without one cup, once a week, so a child can thrive? $155 will make a difference in the life of a child who one day may be your employee. Please do not leave this one child behind.
