We always have need of community support – Adding a school requires financial support and volunteer support.  Beyond the money for food, volunteers are needed to move food from Meijer to the packing location, assist with packing, help transport backpacks to and from school on a weekly basis.

Backpacks are filled on Wednesday afternoons. We meet at Bemis Junior High on 19 Mile, Door 4 at 4:15 when school is in session. (One-hour commitment when you are available.)  Additional volunteers are needed to serve on a committee for an event or as a member of the Utica steering committee.

Volunteer Spotlight – Members of a local high school Key Club often volunteer with packing and at other events. They heard about us from the Utica-Shelby Kiwanis Club their club sponsor. They also get volunteer hours needed to graduate or maintain membership in the school clubs.
